Nearly 70,000 visitors, 3,194 students enrolled in technology training, and 373 events highlight a year of growth

New York, NY — Civic Hall, an organization of Fedcap, today released its Fiscal Year 2026 Annual Report, highlighting continued growth in visitors, workforce training, community programming, and technology innovation at its Bernard Goldstein Center in Union Square. Now in its third year of operations, Civic Hall welcomed a record 69,624 visitors, a 20 percent increase over the previous year, while expanding its education programs, partnerships, and community engagement.

Civic Hall enrolled 3,194 students in training programs focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, and digital skills, achieving a 95 percent completion rate, up from 92 percent in 2025 and 80 percent in 2024. Civic Hall also hosted 373 events during the fiscal year, including 163 free community events and 13 job fairs connecting New Yorkers with employers and career opportunities.

Since opening in November 2023, Civic Hall has welcomed more than 162,000 visitors, hosted 871 events, and provided training to 7,655 learners, establishing itself as a growing center for workforce development, entrepreneurship, and civic innovation.

“Civic Hall continues to demonstrate the important role that technology, education, and innovation can play in expanding economic opportunity,” said Christine McMahon, President and CEO of Fedcap. “Our focus is on ensuring that New Yorkers, particularly those who have historically faced barriers to opportunity, have access to the skills, networks, and resources needed to succeed in a rapidly changing economy. These results reflect the strength of our partnerships and our shared commitment to making New York’s innovation economy more accessible to everyone.”

The report also highlights several new initiatives launched in 2026. Civic Hall introduced its inaugural Summer STEM & Innovation Camp, providing 45 middle and high school students with four weeks of free hands-on instruction in artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, game design, and emerging technologies. Made possible through the generosity of Patricia Goldstein, the program included meals, transportation, and scholarships for outstanding student projects.

Civic Hall also launched Civic Health, an international platform focused on prevention-centered health innovation, and expanded its programming through NY Tech Alliance, which convenes entrepreneurs, technology companies, investors, and community leaders. Throughout the year, Civic Hall hosted major gatherings, including events during NYC Tech Week, the U20 Mayors Summit, and the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s Choose NYC Summit, further strengthening its role as a destination for business, technology, and civic engagement.

“Three years ago, Civic Hall opened with a bold vision that New York’s growing tech economy should belong to all New Yorkers, and the impact from this past year speaks for itself: nearly 70,000 visitors, more than 370 events bringing together the city's residents, founders, employers, and workforce, and more than 3,000 New Yorkers completing free and low-cost training programs,” said New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) President & CEO Anthony Shorris. “As we work to build a city that working people can afford to live and thrive in, Civic Hall is exactly the kind of investment that delivers, serving as a home for New York’s tech community while opening doors to good-paying jobs that give everyday New Yorkers a real path to drive equitable innovation right here in the five boroughs.”

Civic Hall operates from an 85,000-square-foot facility at 124 East 14th Street in Union Square, bringing together education providers, employers, entrepreneurs, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to strengthen New York City’s innovation and workforce development ecosystem.
